Non-Degree Seeking Students

Follow these steps if you plan to only take select courses at North Hennepin and are not seeking a degree or certificate from NHCC.

  • 1. Apply for Admission

    • Check your email for communication regarding acceptance (this may be in your spam/junk folder).
    • Official high school transcript or GED certificate if you have graduated in the past 5 years
    • Immunization Record Form
  • 2. Receive Course Placement or Submit Official Transcripts (if needed)

To meet course pre-requisites or placement levels, you may need to complete a Course Placement Evaluation FormACCUPLACER, or submit official transcripts to our Records & Registration office. Waiver options to show college-level readiness (on the course placement evaluation form) include options like ACT, SAT, MCA, or previous ACCUPLACER scores.

ACCUPLACER testing is now available on-campus. If needed you can schedule your placement test online through RegisterBlast.

  • 3. Register for Classes

When you are ready to register for classes, please do so through NHCC eServices. If your course does not require a prerequisite or placement level, you can register immediately after receiving notification of admission to NHCC. Do you want to learn more about registering for classes? Also, remember to check your NHCC email as that is the official way NHCC will communicate with you.

  • 4. Pay Tuition and Buy Books

Students may pay for tuition and books using cash, check, credit card, or payment plan.
